Shouldn't be deciding between the SRS and ACOG.. more like SRS and T-1 (or M4/M4s).

I already have a T-1 equipped on my M4 clone. thats is why im trying to decide if i should just get the ACOG or if this red dot is a true upgrade to the T-1

Definitely not an upgrade for a T1. Just an new on the block alternative.

Well that kind of depends. If you have a Micro, don't switch.

If someone doesn't like the small FOV of a Micro (which some do not), then this is a good option.

Will it turn on with a dead battery in it, while in a lighted environment? If so, I don't see why it's an issue that it won't turn on without a battery in it, even if it's in a lighted environment. Just leave the dead battery in.

I don't have a dead battery to try so I don't know for sure.

I never understood people who hate the small FOV of the T-1. If you use both eyes open it should be a non-issue.

It's not the FOV so much as the restricted angle from which you can see the dot. No problem standing upright but in unconventional positions it can be limiting.
