M16A2's with M4 Stocks?

Is this being considered for a widely adoption in the US Army? Probably a good mod for shorter soldiers.

In terms of reliability, in all of BCT (maybe 200 live rounds and a couple blanks) I only had one double-feed.

Am I understanding correctly that in Basic Training a soldier only fires 200 rounds?

UPDATE:

We drew some more of these M16A2's with M4 Stock from the weapons pool at Fort Sill today. I opened one up and it had an H2 Buffer in it.

Anyone have the NSN for the H6 buffer? I tried putting the part # in FEDLOG but it comes back as not found.

Damaged Industries makes the H6 buffer........should be 5.0 OZ

And this would be a rather cheap clone to build.

The Marine Corps also has an approved stock kit that M16A4's can be fitted with, but armories don't install them because when the weapon is turned in, it has to be returned to the original configuration per the order.
