Glock Extractor Issues Gen 4 - Gen 3

Yesterday I put another 350 rounds through my Gen 3 G17. At least half the rounds hit me in the head. Just my luck. I get home and sitting in my mail box is the 30274 ejector I ordered the beginning of last week. I replaced the 336 ejector with the new one and will have to wait till the weekend to see if this corrects the problem.

I don't understand I thought the main issue was the extractor my older glocks from 2006 & 1999 and newer glocks 2010 all have the 336 ejector

I traded for a new Gen 3 17 with a test fire date of 12/12 (give or take a couple days) and a "U" serial number. I haven't had much time, but I did put 100 rounds through it that day and an additional 150 two days ago.

Everything was good. Extraction was strong at roughly 3 or 4 o'clock with little variance between ammo.

100 rounds of American Eagle, I think (the only thing the range had).

100 rounds of Winchester White Box.

25 rounds of Federal HST 124gr standard pressure.

25 rounds of Winchester Ranger T Series 147gr standard pressure.

I went G19 Gen 2 for a reason...

gen4 G19, EDC, serial number UBK###, start date 12/10/2012, now at 2484 rounds. Shooting Herters 115gr Total Nylon Jacket last night, I had one hit the middle of the top of my head while shooting a canted barricade position.

Ejection was GTG with BHA 115 JHP-XTP +P ejecting several feet, Federal 147 JHP (9MS) a little less, and the Herters closest but still well clear.

This is the first night out with the Herters TNJ in this gun. Very light impulse, fed and cycled fine, no adverse barrel fouling or effect of the nylon bullet coating.
