The 30274 ejector is the new one for Gen 4 9mm guns.
The 336 ejector is the new one for Gen 3 9mm guns.
While sometimes the 30274 ejector may help a gun that has problems with a 336 ejector, it is not a cure all.
Gen3 G19, SAK prefix, 08/01/11 test fire.
600 rounds through it, one class, 336 ejector and stock dip-extractor: erratic ejection, a dozen horizontal stovepipes (115gr Federal fmj, 124gr Speer fmj, 147gr RA9T, all flavors of GoldDots).
Above plus HRED: no change.
30274 ejector, HRED and dip extractor: 206 (all 115gr Federal fmj) rounds today, no malfs, wasn't hit by any of my own brass. Looks hopeful, not holding breath.
-08/08/12: Have since run another 312 rounds through G19, split evenly between 115gr Federal fmjs and 124gr S&B fmjs. Have had 1 or 2 to face but no malfs. Still running 30274 ejector, whitesound HRED and the stock dip extractor. Still plan on getting the Apex extractor for further insurance...

Gen3 G19 FDE
SVX prefix. 03/02/12 test fire.
Dip extractor, 336 ejector, 5593 recoil spring assembly.
215 rounds of 155gr. FMJ Brown Bear.
3 rounds hit me in the head.
1 horizontal stovepipe.
Cases ejected all over the place.
10 rounds of 115gr. Gold Dots.
No hiccups, although I wouldn't expect it out of only 10 rounds fired.
Cases were still ejected like the Brown Bear.
This was mainly just to check POI not for malfunctions.
This is my 1st time running this gun.
SVX Prefix Tan Gen 3 G19.
350 rounds through it.
1x Failure to Feed in the first 100 rounds.
2x Shell Casing Burns on my head from erratic ejection. One time was already enough. Now I have second burn mark right on my face.
Contemplating calling Glock, or just waiting for the Apex extractor.
I hope Randy has a good server on his website...I figure the day he puts the extractors up for sale, There will be a tsunami of orders coming in.....

There's a race of men who don't fit in, A race that can't stay still, So, they break the hearts of kith and kin, and roam the world at will..
I am considering picking up a G34 with a June 2012 test fire date.
Based on everyones knowledge here, is it better to hold off until they work out these kinks, or, should I be good to go with this revision?
Up to you. I bought one, had no malfunctions but rear ejection. I didn't send it back but bought a Gen 4 housing (about $20) and swapped out the ejector. Problem solved.
Edited to add that if it's a Gen 4 it will already have the new ejector, mine is a Gen 3

John - I don't think there's anyone on this board who'd be willing to stake their reputation on an unqualified answer to your question.
Some of us have had VERY bad luck in the last year or two - I was four for four unworkably bad G19s. Others have had NUMEROUS flawlessly performing 9mms over the last several years.
The bottom line, unfortunately, is that with Glock today, you pay our money and you take your chances. You might get a good one; but if you don't, there's nothing that will make it completely "right" short of a trip to Randy's shop, IMHO...
Regards,
Kevin
