Nice rifle. Nice to see one without a lot of crap hanging off of it.
I don't normally like to respond to the Custom Build threads, but your post stands out from the rest, due to proper sentence structure and spelling, as well as the fact that you provided excellent information as to what parts you used, and why you used them.
As far as your rifle goes, I approve!
I agree. Well thought out, well executed, and articulated well. That is what custom is all about. Excellent.
I'm an FFL/gunsmith, not the holster company. We specialize in subsonic ammunition and wholesale rifles.
Haha, thanks guys. I've spent a lot of time and money trying different things on AR15's (not nearly as much experience as some here though), so I think it's nice to get some insight into what other people are doing and why. I plan to make another post in here about my dedicated HD AR15 I mentioned when I get a chance...just to show some of the thought process behind it.
Honestly, it seems like a great build. I wish more guys took this approach. Get simple functional parts at a good price.
Most folks will never need a heavy bbl. For rear sights a simple fixed A1 is the way to go. Even with RDS you still should aim your gun. The fundamentals still apply. Mid-gas is pretty much the standard now.
My only additional recommendation is to get a good sling like the Vickers or VTac, and learn how to use it.

See a common thought here?
I really need to post recent pics of my 16" LW BFH middy...
Cool post, and nice looking AR. I wanted to know if you purchased an Aervoe Camo Kit and if not, then what colors did you pick?
Great job! This is what a new build thread should look like! Very nicely done, I hope you start a trend.
