You are using 77gr SMK's these days? I shot a hog in the ear with one. DRT

The SMKs have nowhere near the awesome penetration of the Barnes, they fragment on impact.

Another 130 pounds of some of the finest sausage this side of the Mississippi procured with HK MR556/FLIR T-70 with one shot @ 175 yards with some thermal pics from the FLIRONE and the Seek Thermal cameras.[]

As usual, real thermal images are better than compressed web views.
Five minutes into the hunt, 225 pound sow falls to the HK-ACOG-T-70 @ 175 yards, life is good!
While I enjoy thermal and NV as much as anyone, why is this thread not about the 70 TSX anymore? I went looking through for data and just got to see a bunch of NV pics of kills with 55 TSX and 77 gr SMK as far as I can tell.
Skypup, do you prefer hunting with 5.56 or 308? Taking into consideration weight of the weapons etc.

Entrance and exit wounds and internal damage of the 223 Barnes 70 Grain TSX as per the thread title. While everyone in this thread, myself included, are jealous of your many nice optics, it looks like you are using the 55 gr TSX and several other non-Barnes bullets. I am trying to determine if there is a substantial upgrade offered by the 70 grain pill and this thread does not provide that info as labeled.
If I am mistaken and missed your posts with the 70 grainer then I apologize and would appreciate it if you could point me to the correct post.
