    New Build - Suggestions (laser)?

Helping out a buddy with a new AR build. He wants 'top of the line', money really isn't an object here. So I've tried and build this to that sort of tune. Just want to run this by you guys to make sure that 1) I haven't forgotten anything and 2) everything will work well together. Also need help with a laser (more below).

    Lower
    - Mega GTR-3H Billet Lower
    - Colt parts kit and buffer/action spring
    - UBR Stock
    - MOE grip/trigger guard
    - BAD lever
    - BADASS Selector

    Upper
    - Mega MTS-420 rifle length monolithic upper (with parts)
    - Colt BCG
    - Colt M4 barrel
    - AAC Brakeout
    - MBUS front/rear sights
    - Aimpoint M4s w/ Larue mount
    - Surefire X300

So...anything I'm forgetting? I'm planning on sling/QD mounts as well but want the parts in my hands first to see what will work best (thinking IWB front mount). Any issues with those parts? He might stick a suppressor on it as well.

He's also shown interest in a laser. Not that I think he'll actually use it for it's intended purposes, but he wants what he wants, and he wants a good green laser. I don't know anything about them, any opinions on that?

Also, he wants to have it done up in a dark earth like digicam...not exactly my first choice but it's his gun and his money. Who knows of a good place to have that done as well? Preferably local to Michigan...

Are SBR's legal in Michigan? If not, then you will need to rethink that M4 barrel. I think there are better options out there for barrels.

No they are not, and it's a 16" barrel (from G&R Tactical).

ETA - A BCM lightweight would be ideal, but they are not in stock at the moment. I know they sell out pretty freakin' quick, might be difficult to get one when they get more stock...not sure he wants to wait too long, either. Open to other barrel options, though...he'd actually prefer a 14.5" (with pinned brakeout) and was planning on cutting down the Colt barrel anyways. I figured if I had to go with an M4 profile, might as well get one with the FSB and gas tube, as it saves a few bucks, and I prefer the cut down FSB anyways.

Ok, so a 6920 barrel. I would consider getting a Noveske barrel. What is this going to be used for? Impressing friends, shooting, SHTF, etc..?

Quite frankly I don't know what it'll be used for...probably mostly a safe queen. It's actually my dad's buddy (and my former employer/neighbor) and he likes the 'finer' things in life, especially in regards to firearms.

I doubt he'll ever use it for what it should be used for, but he still wants it setup 'properly' and functional. Beyond the core of having an AR that actually works, a lot of it is just showing off and having something he thinks is cool. Some of the parts are pretty unnecessary but he wants it to look cool.

I would look at a BCM hammer forged barrel or something from Noveske. As for uppers/rails I would look at the Vltor VIS. Simply because I have built a few uppers with them and they are nice.

Just to add to Iraqgunz suggestions; If money not a problem, I'd also suggest upgrading the trigger and BUIS. There are several options for both, but I'd look into a Geiselle trigger(they've got both single-stage and two-stage), and Troy BUIS($200 as a set at LaRue).

I think those brands mentioned are fine, but why use a light weight barrel on receivers made for strength and accuracy? To me that kinda defeats the use of the mega platform. I could be wrong but thats how I see it. I'd use a Noveske like Iraqgunz mentioned.

I prefer to stick with a lightweight barrel as it'll probably be heavy as hell already, no need to compound that, especially when it won't likely see ranges beyond 100 yards (or even high round counts).

Might be able to convince him of a trigger. He didn't want a quad rail (just the top rail) so not sure he'll go for a VIS. That's what I chose the Mega mono upper, it was the only one I could find with just the top rail.

I'm sorry but I haven't looked into Mega yet. Wouldn't a 13" Troy work well. And give it a cool look. Plus it is lightweight, well in my eyes.
