    Trident,

What do you think of the Versa Pod? In particular the Battle Pack with interchangeable legs? I was looking at either the Versa Pod or the Harris you mentioned.

    Thanks!

CRAP... the legs are nice, but the swivel blows.. it has zero tension and your gun will flop over and fall... goolge "pod claws" for harris...

The Versa Pod w. Battle Pack option along with the rail adapter is close to $200.

You can build a really great bipod with a Harris HBRMS....(phoenix tactical kit)

    1.) HBRMS bipod....$106
    2.) ADM/Larue bipod adapter...$75
    3.) S.A.R.G. swivel bipod knob...$25
4.) Mil Spec Pod Claws.....$106(if you even need them)

So for b/t $200-300, you can essentially build this

You can buy the Larue already built up HBRMS for $180.

    OR

You can buy the Atlas V8 and have the finest bipod currently made by a large margin imho for $275. Minus the deployment speed, the Atlas V8 blows all the other options above away...again, imho. It's already built, and gtg right outta the package.

I guess what I'm getting at is that the Harris setups are wonderful options and will serve a precision piece very well, however once you start having to put on the swivel knob, the QD mount, and in some cases...the pod claws, you might as well buy the Cadillac(atlas) at that point.

Personally I only see two options for myself....

A budget friendly Harris option.....or, an Atlas V8.

Hope that gibberish helps out a little pal

I think I'm gonna roll with the Harris for now.
