Cool My 18" MK12 Style DPMS Build

I bought a Spikes upper receiver (Aim), DPMS 18" MK-12 Barrel (Midway) , Levang Linear Comp (Midway), Troy 15" Extreme (Primary Arms).. YHM low-pro gas-block, riding on a new PSA lower with A2 stock (SGuide).. (stock due in this Saturday)..

Here she is without the scope and MagPul MBUS..

I have a Bushnell Trophy XLT 3-9x40 with 600 DOA reticle mounted on it now.. but I don't have that pic handy.. (I'll put it up later)

I shot 5 rounds of PMC XTAC 556 with 0 issues to function check the gasblock fitment.

What says the crowd?? total was like $850 for everything.. (lower and stock included..)

Considering you can get a Colt 6920 or comparable BCM for $150 more I would say you got ripped.

And they include a scope and 18" almost match grade barrel ??

    Aim Upper $99
    Troy Rail $147
    Comp $35
    CH $17
    DPMS Barrel $186
    Gas tube $12
    YHM block $29
    PSA lower $57
    PSA MOE LPK $59
    A2 Stock $60
    MagPul MBUS set $85
    ----------------------
    $686

then the Bushnell Trophy 3-9x40 Scope $99 (after $30 rebate)
oh and the Spikes BCG $110

would be $895 with the BCG (but I'm using my other one).

So actually for me at this point $785.. though another Spikes BCG will be in about 3 weeks after I get some better pay checks in the bank from work.

and to think.. it all started as a $50 'lower'..

I thought this sub-forum was to showoff your custom build..

    and then this.. ^^^^

I'm sure my BCM 14 1/2" Middy stinks in your opinion too.

    jeez...

    Thanks..

The A2 stock will be in Saturday.. I test fired using my other lower with MOE stock.. shot very soft.. thinking the rifle-gas and comp had something to do with it..

If you have nothing nice to say please don't speak. To the OP interesting build I would have done it differently but that's just me. Be sure to update your thread with some range results for us.

Not necassery. While you may have chose to go a different route comparing a 6920 to a 18" SPR build is silly...

    OP:
Congrats on your build and for $600 bucks I think you did okay for what it is. Now go out and shoot it, A LOT.

Sounds like low cost was the objective...

As long as it does what you want it to do.... sounds good.
