    Not necessarily. If you think that scope is mounted "high", go take a look at some small bore silhouette guns. They are usually about 2 inches high, still manage to hit targets out to 100 meters off hand.

    Tacticool is the name of the stock, and the rings are shortys, and works perfect with my cheek weld. So no complaints here.

    The Savage MK II action requires a lot of inletting and mass produced stocks like this one don't have much wood left to secure the action to. I came up with a way to address that which I posted the details on at rimfire central here. With Geco LR ammo (about $6 for a box of 50), it will do this at 50 yards;
