    Upper is complete! Better Pics

I just finished my first upper and I wanted to share it with you guys. This all started as a RRA 20" Varmint AR-15 with A2 stock.

    Here is the parts breakdown:
    Rainier Arms Select™ 5.56MM Barrel - 14.5
Rainier Arms Forged A4 Upper Assembly - GEN2
YHM Phantom Flash Hider pinned by Rainier Arms
YHM Rifle Length Diamond Forearm w/ forearm cap
YHM 2 pc Specter gas block and mid-length gas tube
    Magpul Gen2 MBUS
    Magpul AFG2
    Magpul Rail Sling Attachment (RSA)
    Magpul XTM rail Panels
    WMD Nib-X BCG and Hammer
    BCM Gunfighter MOD3 Charging Handle
    Eotech 552

I also added the following to my current RRA lower
Magpul UBR with added QD cup and Aluminum Strike Plate
    Magpul MIAD grip
    Magpul B.A.D. Lever
    Magpul MS3 Sling

I haven't got to shoot it, hopefully I can tomorrow. The only thing I would change doing it over would be to have the handguard chosen before I ordered the barrel and pinned the FH on. That way I could have had Rainier install a pinned gas block. I will give the 2 piece GB a try and if I have problems, have the FH removed. Now with all this built I realized all I need is a lower receiver with LPK and I can have a whole other AR

    well what do you think?

Nice job, if you get a chance to do a video review of your build, let us see it.

I got to put about 20rnds through it the other day and it functioned great. Not really enough to tell if everything is great but enough to tell if the gas block was lined up correctly. My WMD bolt will be here tomorrow and then I will run it through it's paces. I have been watching the magpul carbine videos and I am really hoping to find some training here in Colorado that is similar. I have been an active hunter and shooter for 15 years or so but I have no training otherwise. I think this upper is going to give me a great platform to further my shooting ability. Those classes look crazy but fun!!

Got my WMD Nib-x coated BCG today. All in all seems like a very nice product. Full auto, BCG shrouded firing pin. MPI tested Bolt. I ordered the kit with firing pin and the firing pin is no where to be found. I emailed the place I bought it from. Also it seems to be used because I found a small amount of carbon on the tail of the bolt and firing pin. Not sure if this is from a test fire or what. Pics are below.
