    Just tossing this in the mix, hope this helps. It's a Safariland, fits mine with a Surefire X300, snug and secure. It rides up higher and only has one strap around your leg. The leg shroud is 6004-10-55, the holster is 6280-5340-551 for 5" 1911 with Surefire X200/300, and the piece that comes up from the leg shroud that attaches to your belt is 6004DFA-55.

    What is that black knob on side of the holster? I am talking about on the same side of the magwell.

    It's a screw to adjust tension.

    It's hard to beat Safariland holsters for duty use.

    What ever drop holster you get I would recommend getting rid of the top strap that goes around you thigh, leaving just the lower strap, and hike the holster up as high as you can.
