What the hell do I have here?

Recently found this 9mm in dad's basement. I have never seen anything like it. I cut one apart and I believe it is steel jacketed and steel core. It was fairly difficult to cut through and both the jacket and core are magnetic.

    And the box.

    Any ideas?

What do you mean by "repels?"

    Is this safe to shoot?

I personally would not shoot anything made by slave labor under German occupation. I doubt they cared about quality control.

I would NOT shoot that stuff..Not only was it made under very poor conditions, But, as was stated, the people who made it could have cared less, and it's corrosive as well..save it as a collectable, with the understanding the people who made those, were slaves..

Well, there is a difference..The chinese slaves for the most part, still have the option to quit and walk away.. These people did'nt have that option..There's a good chance that the person who originally put that box of ammo in the crate to be shipped out after it was made, wasn't around the following week..

I ended up with some stuff from a trade that was very similar, what I had used a sintered iron bullet IIRC.

I wouldn't shoot that stuff, sell it to an ammo collector and use the money to buy some modern ammo.
