so, finally took my TAG Banshee out for a little stroll, underneath my winter jacket, figure the added bulk to my tiny frame would be less obvious. I figure it was snowing and less people were hiking too.

(that's a Benchmade Dagger in case your wondering)

it fit my budget, and my small frame up front.
at the back, is little worrisome, but read it's supposed to be lower due to the engagement profile. imaging leaning/hunched forward, placing the rear higher in this position.

the front has a Velocity Systems MultiCurve Plate, Level III/IV, ICW with a Velocity Systems Soft Backer with 100% Kevlar, and are made to NIJ IIIA equivalent specifications. to get it high up to cover my vital organs, I cinched the shoulder straps to the max, without getting uncomfortable

the cummerbund made everything adjustable, hardly any room for any loose or bounce without chocking your breathing.

I only had an hour to hike around the woods so it got to min 45 when the heaviness hit me and one unexpected steep grade of a hill. good thing I was not egotistic to bring other gear on this first hike. not sure when the next snow will be around so I can do this again without attracting attention.

No Wolverine belt at this hike

Tag Banshee and Velocity Soft Backers were bought from SKD, while the plate was bought directly from Velocity (SKD was out of stock)

I think you must place the PC a little higher.

    Talking

    Completely agree.

When I cinch the cummerbund, it actually goes up higher.
The shoulder straps are already pulled up close, not sure if I can gain a few more inches to raise the plate up.

    Thanks, and critic away.

You're welcome. I also inside this forum learned how to wear my PC correctly.

Is there a SPEAR/BALCS carrier low profile enough for me to wear my Crye Precision belt? My Eagle CIRAS hangs too low. I'm considering just taking out the plates and moving to a plate carrier but I figured I'd check out this route before I have to buy plate carrier soft armor backers.

Look like good designs. Would they be shorter than a CIRAS so I could wear my belt set up?

    SKD Brigadine Systema

Picked up the SKD Brig and I'm loving it. Feels like i shed so much weight.

The Eagle CIRAS, BAE RBAV, and FS Siege are all about the same dimensionally, your best bet may be to go to a low profile carrier like the BAE ECMPV, FS Sleeper, or the Mayflower LPAC.
