This too. A day in the summer sun at a rifle match will make this obvious, even in relatively mild climates.
I lived west of the Mississippi for almost two decades and spent a LOT of time in the high desert of south eastern California. OD proved to be a much better match than FDE including the dry season.

It is obvious to me why the US Army chose and used OD for literally decades...long before cammies gained prominence.

Anyway, its all subjective... personal preference and all. I get it.
