... I tried really hard to understand what this means... You are looking at the magpur emblem instead of your front sight? You can get the sight farther back if it is turned the other way.

BUIS? I am new here, dont forget. I always pull the charging handle with my left hand (as i am right handed), that's just how I was taught. Correct? I dont know. I like the rear sight as far back as possible. This is only possible turned the way I have it, backwards or not.

No, no Kemosabe, this is as far back as it will go. No charging handle interference. This is how Magpul designed the sight to work:

(Oh, and BUIS means Back Up Iron Sight). Welcome to the forum! This site is more about real world use of the weaponry, not just how cool it looks. Actually you cant have it further back if its turned the other way. The piece that flips up would be hanging over the charging handle. This setup allows me to have the rear sight on the last rail position. Else I have to move the sight forward so the flip up piece isn't hanging off over the charging handle.

Actually, it would be further back. It's supposed to hang over the charging handle a little.

Now you tell me. In which way is the sight further back?
