One thing to remember, brewer's yeast is a living critter and will lose its viability between 6 months and a year. After a year, the number of living cells is so low that you probably won't get fermentation to start.
The answer is to make a starter. After the kreusen falls, wash the yeast and make some slants that you can freeze. You stand a much better chance of having viable cells that way when you need them. Feel free to come over to www.homebrewtalk.com and you will be overwhelmed with good info. Very friendly place as well.

Be careful, very careful. I have been over there, same username, since '08 and have expended countless hours posting, learning, and BS'ing.
Awesome resource though.

Yesterday I bought two 10 packs of Ivory soap. Not glamourous but important. It was also inexpensive.

Picked up a nice framed hiking/camping back pack at a yard sale Saturday morning for $10.00 and laid in another case of canned cat food for the bug chasers of the house.

It's been 4 days and so far, so good. The surgery itself was a pretty weird experience but I only felt pain for an hour or two after and recovery has been very quick. It wasn't cheap but I need it for career reasons so hopefully it will pay off in the long run.
If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me.

Saw some IMI 5.56 at a local shop. 30-round boxes. Reportedly armor piercing rounds. Sounds wicked. Worth picking up a couple boxes for SD/HD use or would that just tend to go right through your average threat without much damage to tissue?

This information is wrong and the IMI is not a Mil-Spec armor piercing load. IMI sold here in the states is just your high quality IMI 855 or IMI M193 and nothing more.
Its a good practice ammunition and a lot of people use it for a storage due to it high Q/C.

Added some stipling to one of my carry guns and made some mini rolls of duct tape.

Been adding to the library; picked up "Where There Is No Doctor", "Where There Is No Dentist", Dept. of the Army "The Illustrated Guide to Edible Wild Plants", and my third copy of Col. Cooper's "Principles Of Personal Defense".
Been stipling the HG's and PG's of some of the Kalashnikovs.

Where did you pick up the food grade buckets? Reason I ask is of the places I've found them online the shipping is always a killer because of the size. I know some people say that the #2 buckets or whatever are fine but I would just assume get ones that are verified as food grade. Thanks

My local Lowe's has food grade buckets (or at least I'm assuming that is what FDA approved means) for <$4 each.

I guess there in lies my confusion. The one at my Lowe's has the 2 in the revolving arrows but I also have noticed that the internet debate on whether those are truly food safe rivals the .45ACP/9mm debate I'll have to take a closer look if they say FDA approved on them somewhere.

If you put your food into a mylar bag inside the bucket, it doesnt matter if the bucket is food grade or not.

Made a deal today to remove a several small to mid-sized white Oak trees from a cousins property and it should round out to two to three cords of wood.
I'll have 2.5 times the normal amount of wood on hand this fall split and covered just in case to fuel the newly up-graded indoor stoves (Below) and outside brick oven I built for baking.

Agree to a point. Yes I would use mylar the first time but you never know if you might want to use the bucket for something else down the road (say drinking water transportation or storage) after you used up its contents the first time. So from that perspective it does matter.

The food grade bucket I bought is for brewing its got spigot for draining breathing hole for the burper.
But I also see regular food grade buckets for sell at my local honey ville grains..
Once and awhile at or grocery store, but I do live in a semi rural area.
