Any side by side pics of the old gen 3 glock OD and the new gen 4 glock FDE...not that one picture would help much as no two glocks in OD were the same color and I always considered it FDE and not OD.

Post 215, just what I needed, thanks.
So new FDE ( aka coyote tan) and old OD (aka tan, fde, od, ect.)
Now I just have to wait for the glock 34 gen 4 FDE but I wont hold my breath.

I dont think they made any. You can just get the G17 and put a 34 slide on

I heard from a Glock rep at the NRA Show a few weeks ago that there will be another batch of the FDE guns arriving in around 30 days. This maybe old news but has anyone heard the same.

Lipseys is the sole distributer for the FDE Glocks. You can call and ask them and they will tell you what every dealer should tell you, another run in the Sept/ Oct time frame is what they're hoping for. Of course they are at the mercy of Glock and when they get production done.

I hope they will be in before sept/oct. I know I want to get a few more guns before November.

Finally got to put roughly 200 rounds down range with my Gen4 G17 and didn't experience any FTF or FTE malfunctions. The only thing I noticed (which a lot of people have been saying) is the erratic ejection patterns. Wasn't anything crazy but I noticed they were kind of all over the place. However I didn't get any brass to the face which was good. My 17 has the newer ejector in it and not the "336" version. Hoping to put a lot more rounds through it soon to really be able to make a decision on whether or not the ejector could use some work or replacing but the ejection pattern doesn't bother me as long as I don't get hit in the face with anything.

750 rounds, bone stock aside from the sights. Didn't even polish anything.

Ran 100 rounds through my Gen 4 Glock 17 FDE yesterday (and a couple hundred through my new Gen 4 Glock 34) with Rem UMC 115 gr FMJ and it ran great. I didn't notice the ejection pattern much since I ran these guns during a local group training session, but none of the brass hit me or noticed any of them coming back toward me at a sharp angle. Same thing with my new Gen 4 Glock 34.
I realize that it's still early in the round count, but I'm really liking both guns so far. It is my second Gen 4 17 and my first 34. Both text casing dates were mid-March. The only things that I did was swap sights on the 34 and changed out the slide-stop on the 17 FDE for the same slide-stop that comes stock with the 34.

Big Brother arrived.
Received my Gen3 17 last week. The only thing left to do is install the OEM - connector which is on the way from GlockParts.com. The slide on the G17 looks darker but it is actually the same color as the G19.

Put 250 through a new gen4 fde g19 last week. One ftf on second or third mag and no problems otherwise. Didn't notice any erratic ejection but this is my first Glock (nothing busting me in the face for sure).

I have not fired my G3 FDE 17 much at all, but did seem to have some of the brass coming back at me today.

That's the pic I've been waiting for! Can you take a dedicated pic of the M4A1 RIS II rail beside the FDE Glock? Looks to be smack dab between Magpul FDE and DD FDE (at least from the pic)
BTW, any reason you went for the gen 3 over the gen 4?

I've found that H-226 Patriot Brown Cerakote looks very close to the FDE of the glock.
This was done by Red Creek Tactical and it seems pretty close to the FDE Glock to me.
