USGI mags G2G for SCAR-16

Guys,

Sorry if this has been rehashed before, but my search-fu is weak. Are USGI mags G2G on the SCAR-16?

TIA

The 15 I have work fine, although my friend has a Brownells usgi (tan follower) that won't drop free in my SCAR although it functions 100% in his AR. I've got a mixture of Brownells (green followers), Center Industries, Fusils and the OEM FN magazines

USGI are G2G, but PMAGs & others can cause problems.

You can see the problem here:

G.I. mags, TangoDown Arc and Lancer AWM's are good to go.

I cut down all my Pmags (in the back) and they work fine.

That works too, the new Magpul M3 P-mag is supposed to be GTG in the SCAR as well.

I've seen on the FN forum that some people lately have had the same problem with arc's and lancer's so it might be best to check all non-usgi's to avoid the bolt wear

Original Lancers will have the bolt stop issue, the newer (A)dvanced(W)arfighter(M)agazines work fine, they were specifcally designed to work in the SCAR as were the ARC's. That said tolerances can still be an issue and it probably won't hurt to check them.

My Colt factory 20 round and 30 round mags work fine in the SCAR. My Thermolds don't lock into place at all. But they work just fine in my Colt LE6920.
