Excuse the diving stuff, still hadn't unpacked from that morning's four mile drift dive down the river... I'll never do that again, either. Had to put the backpack down to keep the bipod from jumping around. Group is five rounds from 100 yards. Minus bullet diameter, measures out to 0.576 inches I believe. Not bad for the first time shooting the gun, I know it will tighten up after I get some more experience behind the trigger.

Got my FN SPR A2 back from the body shop last night. Hope to take her for a spin this weekend. I was told that camouflage increases my shooting skill.

This gun was built by the guys at Brux Barrels in WI.
Brux 24" barrel with 1:11.25 twist
McMillan A-5 stock
Timney trigger
Glass bedded 700 action and bottom metal
Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x56 NP-R1
Nightforce 20 MOA base and NF rings.
My 2 main loads are:
208gn Amax 0.04 off the lands
41gn WIN 748
Federal 210 LRP
L.C. M80 brass
Average of 2500 fps
175gn Sierra MatchKing 0.03 off the lands
42gn WIN 748
Federal 210 LRP
L.C. M80 brass
Average of 2590 fps
The 208 Amax is an amazing bullet, I have no problem hitting 2 MOA steel targets at 1000 yards. At 1000 yards it still running over 1300 fps with 37.31 MOA of vertical correction....according to Strelok. The 175 MatchKing does not perform as well out to 1000 yards.
We were shooting a 15"(2 MOA) wide steel plate at 750 last weekend and it was not much of a challenge, even my wife hit it on her first try. I'm gonna try to head out to Rockcastle Shooting Center in Kentucky this weekend to see if I can hit 1100.

Top is a stock Reington AAC SD .308 in a B&C Medalist stock. Skim bedded with a Nikon .308 scope (4-16x44), Wyatt det mag and YHM Phantom suppressor. Got rid of the horrible X-Mark trigger and put in an adjustable Basix set at 1.5 lbs. Took my first hog at distance two nights ago. Just under 700 yards. Longest shot I've ever taken.
Bottom setup is relatively new. Started out with just the Savage 10 action with Accutrigger. Added a Savage 5R 22" .308 barrel, an HS Precision M24 stock, a Vortex Viper HS 6-24x50 scope and CDI bottom metal with AI mag. Pictured with the same YHM suppressor. This rifle is considerably more accurate on paper than the Remington.
I'm pleased with both.
