It's pretty silly to just dismiss it because it's a polymer striker-fired 9.

LuLz.... lots of striker fired polymer pistols are better than Glocks...

Glocks are like the Ford Mustangs of pistols, sure you can spend twice the price to make is awesome but at that point you could have bought a Corvette .

I bet Cz hopes it is in terms of units sold. The Glock 17/19 are probably the most common pistols in the United States And quite possibly the world.

To me Glocks are sort of like the Colt 6920. They are not the best and they are not the worst but they are the standard by which others in this category are judged.

If Cz can release these at a competitive price point and it is proven to be reliable and accurate what's not to like?

We are lucky to have so many choices to spend our money on these days. How boring the shooting world would be if all we could buy was one model of pistol from one manufacturer. I am sure there are people out there that think small arms development peaked with the M1 Garand and the Colt 1911 and that's ok. Competition is great and it helps bring new ideas to the marketplace. Good ideas are rewarded and bad ones fade away.

I say bring it on and to all the other gun manufacturers keep on making new stuff, except High Point, those guys should be charged with crimes against humanity.

Glock was NOT the first striker fired gun.

Glock was NOT the first polymer gun.

I'm dismissing is it on the grounds that it does nothing better than a Glock does now. It's heavier than a 19, almost as tall as a 17 and retail looks to be the same as well. Nothing new or revolutionary going on here, just another company trying to cash in on the Polymer striker fired gun market.

Why would you spend money on your Glock? Change the crappy plastic sights and shoot it. No need for triggers or other garbage.

Common knowledge. HK holds those titles but HK made a bit of a lemon and didn't market the VP70 very well. With 53 parts it is far from simple and a very heavy DA trigger didn't help.
