No further than the usual whining and melodrama. They're too cowardly.
There will be a lot more broken windows, torched cars, and blocking of highways
An American version of the IRA: Car bombs, daily murders of police officers, assassinations, etc.
Full civil war: Large factions will form and fight a conventional war.
I had this debate while trolling a liberal Facebook page the other day. A woman there suggested that the left might start a civil war.
When I pointed out the obvious fallacy of her suggestion, that most on the left have never even held a gun, she had no coherent response. The closest thing we'll get to civil war is riots and hurt feelings. Maybe, maybe, a bomb or two. But outright war? No way.
You should hear the lefty shit my cousins friends are spewing. I do troll the shit out of them but still. This morning one of them said she was going to kick my ass. I said great, but remember, if you try and kick my ass where you live, in PA, I'll be armed. She quieted the **** down, and quick.
That's what the left is, they make a lot of noise and have a lot of balls when they are a big group against one person. If they block a highway and all of a sudden a group of militia nuts with beards, plate carriers and rifles come out of the adjacent tree line, they will run with their tales between their legs.
I f*ckng live this guy.
I am part of that power which eternally wills evil, and eternally works good.
Lefty women are way more militant than the men, but 99% of them have never had the piss
slapped out of them either.
But they will get right in your face and scream and yell knowing the popo will step in and
cover their ass.
And then there's that- everyone wants to be gangsta until it's time to DO gangsta shit...
They're currently used to being top dog in the "harassing and beating random people we hate" department. Nobody's beaten back.
Yet.
Then you'll know which way this all goes- it's all just speculation till then.
Now.... on the "is the left to cowardly to start an actual war?" question, well I'll put this in two parts;
1) The "right" ain't done shit either. I've made the rounds through the various patriot/ III%/whatthe****ever "stand and fight for your rights" [to parrrrtayyyyyy, sorry had to say it ]groups. It's all blab and no blam, so apparently nobody's got the "balls" to go full metal retard there either. And we all know which side would be more justified from a constitutional perspective at this point, so either things just aren't *quite* at that point or we are also all a bunch of pussies perfectly content to live in the "to early to shoot the bastards" phase forever.
2) And I'll follow that up with, there's more than one way to fight a war. As the infowars tagline goes "there's a war on for your mind". Just because the lead isn't flying doesn't mean it's not already hot and heavy out there... To many quick to rush to thinking of "war" in the "cutlass and cannonade" literal sense, they forget most wars are won and lost before they go hot. And who said your side "owns" the concept of a revolution anyway?
Reminds me of a quote from iRobot;
Lanning: The Three Laws will lead to only one logical outcome.
Spooner: What? What outcome?
Lanning: Revolution.
Spooner: Whose revolution?
Lanning: *That*, Detective, is the right question.

"...A rapid, aggressive response will let you get away with some pretty audacious things if you are willing to be mean, fast, and naked."-Failure2Stop
"The Right can meme; the Left can organize. I guess now we know which one is important." - Random internet comment
I guess you haven't been paying attention. While one side is crying in the streets the other side has been quietly buying up arms and ammo for the past eight years at a retarded pace. The right simply respects the rule of law, until there is nothing to respect. So far I'd say the right has been very determined to take back power and has done so across all branches of government. It's our time, we be President now.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.
Chuck, we miss ya man.

The same tactics of our current enemies? I agree, if (and that's a big if) they choose to fight it will be an insurgency style fight. Now, they will also be fighting an insurgency with better weapons, training and mindset. The weak, useful idiots and stupid would be culled quickly though on both sides before it transitions to a war of attrition.
Reads a lot, posts little.
This is very true too. When leftist states pass draconian gun bans and gun owners are stuck in those states, we say it's your own damn fault for living there. Get in your covered wagon, move to a free state, and shut the f*** up; your problems are not my problems. When more rightist states pass laws that a pro-life or anti-transgender, every leftist in the nation answers the call. They hound, boycott, riot, and sue the state into repealing the law. How many times do we say "Molon labe!" and "These colors don't run!" Then when the left passes something, rather than fight, we say "f**k it, I'm done with this shit. Everybody sucks and I'll be GLAD when this shitty failed experiment called the United States finally collapses! I'm heading for the hills; don't bother me!"
I will agree that it is still too early to shoot the bastards. The rioters generally burn down their own neighborhoods, and blocking highways the way they have is not a deadly force situation. But, that IS a situation for an ass beating. There needs to be more of an attempt to agitate them; force the left to either shut up or go to violence. I have a feeling that at least factions of them will start to use more serious violence sooner or later, so I'd rather they do it sooner while the pendulum is swung slightly in our direction, and they'd lose public support for doing so.
