I have met in the Dominican, people that have left Venezuela. For 4 generations they made food products in Venezuela, now they have little raw material and smaller market.
They travel in armored SUV's , because they got tired of being kidnapped. They have been forced to hire Israeli security, for themselves, their children and their homes and factory. The security for the children are with them on the way to school, they stay at school all day to insure the kids aren't grabbed during the day.
Such a shame, for a country that should be rich as can be.
I think we could see this sort of thing in parts of the US within the next twenty years the way things are going and if we see an economic down turn.

In Panama, there's many from Venezuela I have met. Those with $ left a while ago. Now, those without any $ are coming as the next wave, and that's not making Panamanians happy and discussion of new laws to prevent that in the works.
