Just got one for my gen 3 17. Initial thoughts, I like the idea, it is low profile enough that I could see it legit being used for carry. Adds just a little width, but not like some and it is light weight as hell. Also, even a factory mag will still stick out below slightly, so seating shouldn't be an issue, though with caveats. See below for that.
General observations, though, and not sure these gripes, but worth noting.
Firstly, and I think this is because my 17 might just be an older model there is a gap, like a half moon sized gap, in the front of the grip and the magwell. Glock is factory, and again an older gen 3 so I think it might just be how they were back then.
Second, the seating of the mag "feels" less positive, though I can't find any issue, the mags are locked in when I am doing insertions, it just feels less positive. That is me of course.
Other than that, no complaints, going to try to get to the range in the next few days with the 17 and magwell and factory 17rders, magpul 17rders, and magpul 21rders. Going to beat the hell out of it with the 21s, may, if things prove to be reliable enough swap it all over to HD duty. We shall see.
