Gas to face is not really an issue with the KAC or Surefire mini cans on 11.5s. I also have a few KAC 14.5s with cans, and prefer the 11.5s over them. Just my opinion.
A sr15 14.5 with mams and the cqb is next on my list.

Thanks. So 11.5” it is. I will move in that direction now; I will look into the cqb and full size can. Would love to hear more opinions on which Size can now that things are narrowing down in choices

    Thanks

Crap; now I’m thinking I should buy a 556 QDC CQB suppressor so I can compare it to my 556 QDC. I should have never gotten involved in this conversation.

If you get into and out of vehicles with a rifle for a living, and value overall maneuverability in confined spaces above suppression, the 11.5 with CQB can is a very good option.
I personally prefer the larger QDC suppressor on the 11.5, especially if I am going to shoot for any duration without hearing protection.
My personal favorite 5.56 is the 14.5 carbine, as it merrily fills the "do everything" task out to ranges at which 5.56 is viable. Work well with either suppressor in environments in which overall length is not the primary concern.

If going 11.5 then get the largest can you can.

I would also just get the upper for now to shoot on a pistol lower.

Guys, I am awaiting a deposit on a gun I just sold, then going to order 11”
If I order as factory sbr it cost $260 more with tax and transfer fees (and the wait)
If u buy as upper and lower and form 1 it, It is cheaper and faster. Is a factory sbr realty worth it??

Getting a complete SBR has a certain attractiveness and allure to it, but at the end of the day is a longer path from factory to your hands than the individual form 1 process, especially if you are ok with a pistol setup until the form clears.

    I ordered a factory sbr 11”.
I figure I can use the upper on mr sbr lower while I wait.
I figure it’s worth it in the long run. Hope to save up for a can in the next few weeks

I thought they held on to the entire thing until the forms clear.

I asked. That was the answer. (They just wanted serialized part)
