I grew up on the Southside of Chicago. I am fluent in 'bad neighborhoods' and places in Baltimore give me the willies. Also, had the WORST crab cakes I've ever had at a locals bar there.
It really saddens me to see people from the civil rights era that stood up to real racism and stood up to injustice totally lose their way and become tools. The line in Gladiator is something like die a hero or live long enough to become the villian. Really it is by martyred or live long enough to be an embarrassment. MLK vs Jesse Jackson is a great example. Heck, Jesus being able to turn water into wine would have gone south if he had lived to 60 with twelve dudes and a former hooker.
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.
