I love this thread! So many nice FALs out there. It used to be my "bride" for three years!

My all Izzy marked FAL.
I wanted to build a rock solid rail system that is also QD pretty much an unlatch the rear, tip it up and pull it off just like a blank bolt cover. Then a folding rear sight was fabricated from a L1A1 that is windage adjustable as you can see its ready for a low scope mount. I posted a step by step of the rail here. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. A real keeper. Oh, I don't know what a Stolle device is.

After several years being without a FAL in the arsenal, I picked one up in a trade yesterday:

Just a DSA Voyager, but it did moderately well in a very brief range season yesterday. Planning on swapping out some parts, and turning it into a Rhodesian FAL-lookalike, if not a true clone.

Conversion, at least for the moment, complete:

Still need to swap out a few things, but this will work for now.

Waking this thread up for a minute. Imbel on Imbel:

I picked up this Imbel FAL at the start of the year for a song and a dance, and I'm looking to modify it a bit. It came with a wooden stock, which I replaced with a poly from DSA. I've got the dust cover en route now, but am thinking about a muzzle device for flash suppression. The barrel is currently not threaded, so I could have it done so in most any thread pattern I choose to get a muzzle device in. Could y'all please share what you are using?
