I noticed this LWRC AR for only $1200. That seems cheap for such a carbine. If I bought it and decided to sell it in a couple or few years, how good would resale value be?

Impossible to say. The AR market can go all over the place, especially in a volatile political climate. markm knows a lot about LWRC, maybe he'll chime in.
Do you even get down innagrass, bro?
No, he really doesn't. LWRC certainly has had their issues, but dredging up issues from well over a decade ago with completely different management teams does not provide any useful information in the present day.
Eh, I wouldn't say those are the only things that set them apart. LWRC is one of the few companies that make their own CHF barrels, for example. The monoforge upper also provides a very robust alternative to the standard handguard attachment systems.
As for whether or not LWRC is comparable to LMT or DD, I certainly would not consider them as such (although LMT's QA/QC troubles in the past few years has certainly been concerning).
As noted, trying to guess the value of a rifle in a few years is a fool's errand outside of extremely well-established brands, of which LWRC is not. Guns in general as a store of value is stupid, there are far better and safer investments.
Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

The market is saturated with AR’s right now and forever. LWRC is a niche rifle and company. Which means if you try and sell it your target audience will be much smaller than if it was a Colt, BCM, DD, etc.
If you like it, buy it. If you get buyers remorse, buy a different rifle and just keep the LWRC because you won’t be able to sell it for near what you bought it for.
Couple buddies have them. They seem like well-executed and well-appointed rifles, but those particular guys just shoot them periodically, not like twice a week or anything. The one you’re looking at has an “obsolete” proprietary mounting system. It looks like MLok, but isn’t compatible. That’s part of why the price is low. I’ve examined a few others, and they seem well-made, but I didn’t shoot them or go over them with a fine-toothed comb. I don’t really have much personal experience otherwise.
It’s true that they’re niche, and if you have to worry about resale of a gun, then you probably shouldn’t buy a gun. Good chance you’ll lose a significant amount of money. And a chance that you won’t lose much.
MarkM is known to hate LWRC more than I hate pursedogs. If I ever get rich, I’m going to buy the company, make a MarkM “signature” version, sell that and only that, and drop one in his yard every night for the lolz. I’ll throw him a case of ammo for his troubles, though. Steel cased, of course.
