Wow that's a nice AK, just get some Bulgarian mags for it. US Palm should of just made these mags with normal floor plates instead of trying to reinvent thewheel here. Put some steel in the feedlips and a regular floorplate and they'd have it made. I mean come on Bulgarians can design and make better mags than we can here?????WTF?

I think most of the reason is cost. There is no doubt someone could make a better mag. How much are you willing to pay for it?

Thats rather unfortunate. If you contact the mfr, I'm sure they'll set it straight. Even Magpul had some issues at first, the key was customer service. They may not be for everybody, but the ones I've used work very well. The floor plate thing was due to a complaint of AK mags losing their floorplates when they hit the ground or were on the ground during firing. Thats happened to me twice. Metal mags of Yugo mfr. I guess we choose things based on our own experiences. Either way, contact the manufacturer, see what they do to rectify it. If they don't....well...you tried it and learned from it.

The OP wasn't the guy it happened to, but the guy it happened to did contact the manufacturer, and received 2 replacement mags, plus two additional mags, plus one of their Battle Grips, plus some other miscellaneous items like stickers.

Broken mags totally suck, but a company that replaces them like that is good to see.

Only thing better would not to claim false things about their products. Metal reinforced feed lips, molecular bonded floor plates ...

Keep in mind that every manufacturer out there will make an occasional shit product. The good manufacturers either make fewer screwed up products, have better QC catching them before they get sent out or some combination of the two.


The good company is the one that not only takes care of the problem but tries to find out what happened so they can keep it from happening again. Take that into account before you go talking out of your arse again.

I happened across this thread and figured I would let everyone know that the key people on the vendor side are aware of the problem and are actively putting a permanent fix/ design modification into place

I have 6 of these mags and I really like them. Once the next version comes out, I'll buy a whole bunch more.

I believe the new updated mag will have an obvious design difference vs earlier mags - don't hold me to that but I think that will be the case

Very good to know, thank you for the update. I really like the US Palm AK grip that I tried, I wish there were more vendors stocking these and the new AR variant because as well as the next gen Mags as I refuse to do business with SGC.
