The S/N is way too high, and when that happens I tend to get cranking on people's infraction meters and vacation buttons. Hate to do it, but will if we don't police ourselves.

A1 upper would be sweet. Sucks only DPMS/Bushmaster make them.

I believe Ken Elmore at SAW may have Colt A1 upper receivers.

When I still had my mostly-stock 6520 I thought of changing out the upper to an A1, but at the time had some difficulty finding one with M4 feedramps. Unsure if that's still an issue in the market now or if someone has addressed it. That, and a desire to keep it "all Colt" at the time meant I kept the A2 upper.

I have not seen it, but have heard of people cutting their own feedramps or having a smith do it. Do you or anyone else know if this is possible?

M4 feedramps in the extension but not on the upper works (in a carbine length system with a rifle extension anyway). I wouldn't buy a factory complete rifle assembled that way, but it functions. The other way (ramps in the receiver but not in the extension) doesn't.
