It should be. Less slide weight should’ve less muzzle flip.

"An opinion solicited does not equal one freely voiced," Al Swearengen, Deadwood 1877.
Some people have a need to complain, check.
But just be accurate, it’s not a magazine compatability issue, its a magazine baseplate compatability issue.
I guess the “I GOTTA BE ABLE TO RIP OUT MY MAGAINE ONE HANDED IN THE RAIN CUZ ITS STUCK IN THERE WITH CEMENT” crowd ruined the Gen 5 with the front cuts people are blocking with the Pearce mag gap filler and the wonky base plates.
TEOTWAWKI, indeed.

It's already been mentioned. Cutting the front off would solve the issue.

For anyone curious about how the 19X color compares. You can also see the 1913 rail vs the Glock rail width.

I have to say I like the 19X 19-rd magazines. I scored two from HK Specialist.
Both type of mags are now for sale here.

They’re also available for backorder at Brownells. Kind of funny that they’re listed as Gen 5 magazines (considering the compatibility issue with the G19X and the new baseplate that comes with Gen 5 Glocks), and the 17-rd mag is more expensive, while the +2 is cheaper. Considering Brownell’s coupons and free shipping, you’d probably get the best price by backordering through them.

In terms of muzzle flip/recoil, how is the 19X compared to a 17 Gen 4 or 5? Wondering how this gun would perform in GSSF and IDPA compared to the 17. As my eyes get older im noticing a strange preference for front sights that are closer to the rear. This of course is confronted by the need for a full size grip due to having large hands.

Just my 2 cents. When I saw this gun was being released I thought it was completely useless and backwards. That was until yesterday when I handled one.... It points really fast and fits my hand like a glove. I’m not sure that I would buy one but I don’t think they are stupid.
