    Pretty much, don't let any electronics touch the sides. Connecting with tinfoil "may" be overkill, but why risk it?

    Hell, if I was an AimPoint rep I would say that....if an EMP happens and my product is messed up(which it will be) there is nothing you can do about it......

    Wouldn't a vault essentially be a Faraday cage?

    I use Armor All on mine...It does a great job keeping rubber seals conditioned............

    I don't think these ammo can faraday cages you guys are making are going to work. They need to be grounded.

    Just go find an old microwave oven. Disconnect all the electronics but keep the power cable. Drive a copper rod in the ground. Connect the ground wire ( green ) from oven to ground rod. Put your junk in the oven and close door. Wait for the big one.
