Amazing! I've seen a kydex holster tutorial on another forum before, but the examples didn't look half as good as yours! Thanks for the info!
So you don't need to do anything special to create a channel for the front sight? The press just never squishes the area right above the slide super tightly to the slide?
It depends on the thickness of the kydex you use, how tightly you crank your press down, and how tall your sights are.
With .08" kydex, and std height OEM Glock sights (night or fixed) I doubt you'd need to (I haven't). With taller sights like Warren's, Heinie's, or Dawson's...you might want to.
I cut down a #2 pencil, located the tip on the recess in the front sight where the night sight vile is, then chopped the rear to fit in the rear sight notch...then just tapped it all up with blue painters tape to keep it in place.
It doesn't need to be really fancy to keep the kydex from filling the area, it just needs to stay in place while it's in the press.
