Ok here is what I have discovered. The leading edge of the trigger as it engages the hammer hook is FLAT as opposed to angled back like an AR trigger. In addition the top edge is beveled.
As the trigger is pulled the hammer does go down before it breaks but not as much as an AR.
I think part (read most) of the heavy, creepy feeling is the HAMMER spring that is hugely strong. Primers are dented WAY in as compared to my AR. I am hesitant to go removing coils but my gut says take a half or one coil off will help a great deal. HOWEVER with out spares readily available...
I am also curious if a "pre-travel" screw through the grip screw might help somewhat.
Can't wait for more parts and barrels become more available.

I had the opporunity to put a few mags through a demo gun at a training class last year. It had seen a lot of use and the trigger wasn't bad. I'm just going from memory, but I'm pretty picky about triggers and I don't recall it being awful. Perhaps they just need your average $400 trigger job (ie. a case of ammo downrange).
If the civilian version of the SCAR becomes really popular I'm sure some company will make a match trigger kit for it.
