Brownells normally states the manufacturer of their parts. Some stuff they brand under their own name, they may not dsclose who makes those items.

I'm with Grant on this one - I love my CMMG's, but the only parts I've ever had an issue with were the LPK's, sourced from god knows where, and have weird stuff that wasn't quite right. Selectors misbehaving, bolt catches that were wonky - as bad or worse than the DPMS LPK's to avoid for the same reason.

For the money, look elsewhere. CMT kits are going to be more solid than that. Even the WOA (mostly RRA) LPK's have been better.

    Where to get partial LPKs?

Well my plan is to buy pins and such in bulk from a supplier in the USA. That use MIL-spec and put kits together for cheap. I'm hoping to try for 15$ a kit minus the trigger group. Can seem to find source that makes triggers and sear

The last build I did I bought individual colt parts from specialized armament. I used a different mag catch, selector, fcg, grip, no trigger guard and it was still around $80 for the balance of the lower parts. I think it would be hard to put together a quality kit for $15.

    Where to get partial LPKs?

I've gotten all the springs and all the roll pins for it so far had to buy in bulk and its cost me around 40$ for 100 of each. No I just need to find the manufacture that makes the bolt catch, trigger and so on for these companies. I'm willing to invest money in it if I can figure it out. I want the average Joe to be able to purchase a kit and not feel like its a big expense as a back up repair kit or as a build kit. I know I get frustrated that I have to pay so much for pins and springs and little prices of metal.

Thanks for all of the input. Here are my thoughts so far:

The Brownells brand kit seems to be a DPMS kit with an improved trigger and hammer. Ok I guess, but the DPMS thing really doesn't impress me.

LWRC - seems like a good choice. I would trust anything by them and they offer some good parts kits down to individual parts.

G&R - Of course, no problems there and I believe Grant was careful to pick and choose each component. However... they do seem to be perpetually out of stock - understandable under the current conditions but it doesn't help me right now.

Colt - MILSPEC, what's not to like. But I am building a DMR and the best I can say about military triggers is that they are MILSPEC.

By the way, why are they still putting A2 pistol grips in these kits? Does anyone still use these given the options from Magpul, Tango Down, Palm, ect?
