Well, there are always books...I plowed through quite a few of them before Algore invented the internet. Human nature doesn't change that much. And some of those books, if understood and taken to heart, still have the power to change lives.
Frankly I expect that Leviathan will be cracking down HARD on the internet sooner or later. Probably sooner as they hate competing ideas.

Those are some mighty fine ideals you've got there. Are you unaware that radical leftists have already destroyed them legally, by forcing private businesses to produce content they object to against their will?
Why don't you go get some of that from the leftists and come back when you have it in hand. Until then, your argument is weak sauce. In case you've been under a rock for the past few years, leftist anarchists have forced companies to align with them politically or suffer crippling economic and political attacks designed to force them out of business. These aren't one off attacks either, there are hit lists and BIG money behind them. George Soros may well be one of the most dangerous men on the planet right now and he does not accept any of your antiquated ideas about the rules. You might as well be wearing a bowler hat and toothbrush moustache while you post these fantasies.
Except Bezos is even more left of center than Page and Brin.
Do you really think Bing (Microsoft) and Vimeo (Owned by IAC, which runs The Daily Beast) are viable alternatives to escape liberal bias? If so, I can't even take your position seriously. It's not that any one single corp. has a monopoly, it's that a single sociopolitical ideology holds a virtual monopoly.
We will utterly and completely lose this war if we hold to antiquated tactics and strategies. Expecting the enemy to abide by rules of warfare that were implemented for state combatants more than half a century ago, doesn't work on 5GW non-state combatants. Likewise, attempting to apply American laws and social constricts designed for the era of fountain pens and cursive writing, simply doesn't work on violent, ideologically driven combatants who use the internet, social apps, burner phones and funding from global networks to undermine laws and constructs they don't even recognize as legitimate. These people don't even want America in it's current form to survive this decade. We might as well be an aboriginal tribe throwing spears at fog.
What if this whole crusade's a charade?

... and the irony, they put forth the false image that somehow the KKK in America can swing POTUS elections. Funny thing is no one can find enough KKK members to fill a bus much less the voting stations across America.
Amen, and yet when someone tries to change the game up by winning the POTUS seat, his 'supporters' call him an out of touch loser. We might as well be an aboriginal tribe throwing spears at fog.
Corker is still quite happy to fight the old fight or even join the other side... https://www.fitsnews.com/2016/05/25/...investigation/Corker told the Chattanooga Rotarians. In my senior year of college I wrote part of a short story for an assignment that had Constitutional Terrorists mineographing sheets to hand out and other low tech stuff like using film projectors on a sheet in a basement, terrain models planning raids.
Similar to military and radicals in the lates 60s / early 70s.
The story took place 25 years from when written.
All TV, phones, computers, printers, radios, etc. were connected wirelessly by the government.
The government had become a massive, oppressive communist big brother.
This about 25 years ago.
Cell phones were on the verge of being had by everyone.
People had cable TV and VCRs.
Chat rooms on dial up and email were new.
People had dot matrix printers or maybe a brand new ink jet at home for their blazing 286 or whatever desktop.
I had purposefully made all tech being used stuff that was twenty years or more prior to when I wrote it.
People laughed at how low tech everything was and how dated it would be in 25 years as communism had died off and how much technology would be available to the average guy then. It was inconceivable our own government had become the mother of all communists, and made no sense to anyone how any non perfect citizen would have to go low tech in a world of high tech to stay under the radar.
I don't think antifa is even close to being the threat that the Weather Underground was, they haven't even approached the capabilities of the SLA. Popular support for communists in this country isn't anywhere near the level that existed in the late 1960s.
I remember back in 1984 everyone declaring that the Orwellian prediction had come to pass and Big Brother was everywhere. It was a bit of an exaggeration then, it's a bit of an exaggeration now.

This is hardly a left vs right issue. Demonitization is hitting channels across the spectrum. From Firearms to gaming to gay rights activists.
Tell my tale to those who ask. Tell it truly; the ill deeds along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly.
I get the whole freedom thing. I really do. I think a private business should be able to refuse service to anyone for any reason. If a black man opens a business and doesn't want to serve white people, I think that is his right as an American. Its my right to not patronize the business of a racist. However, my idealistic notions are not reality. Case law and precedent have shown over and over, for decades, that if a privately owned business is open to the public, they are not allowed to discriminate based on a whole list of things. This being the case, Google, Amazon, YouTube, etc… should be held to the same standard and have to treat everyone equally. Same treatment for gun lovers as gun haters. Same treatment for hetero Christian white males, as gay black transgender atheists. I think antifa idiots should be allowed to post their legal views and KKK idiots should be allowed to post their legal views. I am free not to view submissions from either wrong-headed group. When either group posts something illegal or against site guidelines, then the host should discipline members of either group equally.
A company that is open to the public and for public use, has no right to discriminate against the political views of the other side. If it were a right wing company discriminating against the views of wacky leftists, I'd say the same thing. Further, if we don't force these A-Holes to live by the same standards that've been shoving down our throats for years, we will lose this cultural war, and eventually lose our rights and our country. We have the facts on our side. We have the Constitution on our side. We have history and precedent on our side. We are right. The only way they win is with propaganda, lies, and suppression of opposing viewpoints. The only way we lose is if we continue to let them get away with lies, propaganda and suppression of our viewpoints.
