For some reason the gun shops seem to always have a deficiency of original, SIG AMT, CETME, and AR10 rifles at reasonable prices.

LOL. That ain't no MARS "sport" import. If you have a SOT there are Sudanese and Dutch AR15s out there in the $5k range.
Not too many dealer sample CETMEs came in and when they pop up on the radar they don't last long. Ironically the CETME Sport semi autos go for almost the same price as a pre86 dealer sample.

There's a semi auto civilian CETME with the sheet metal handguards and bipod sitting in the NRA Museum, that was donated by it's British owner who got it out of the UK when they had their big ban.
