    Best buy M4?

Looking to buy a flat top M4. Mid length if possible. What is a best buy these days? What say you? Thanks...

If you use the ORANGE search button at the top of the page you will find copious amounts of information about who the favored brands are.

That being said, stay within this list and I think you will be very happy:
KAC, BCM, DD, Colt, LMT, Noveske

Bravo Co, Noveske and Daniel Defense all make mid-length carbines

Colt 6920s are very well-priced these days. I've seen prices between $980 to $1050.

I don't see anything wrong with the carbine length systems, though if I'm building myself and the price is the same, I choose mid-length. But would definitely take a look at the 6920.

I think there are a few rifles that are a great value for the money. I think the current colts which can be found for under $1000 is a great value. If I was looking for a midlength rifle with some upgrades such as rails, I would look at the Daniel Defense V3 which can be had for under $1200. BCMs are a great buy due to their high quality and numerous configurations. If you are looking to save some money, Spikes makes a good carbine for around $800.

If by best buy you mean bang for the buck, those are 4 I would be looking at.

I have a DD and love it for many reasons.

But very happy with my S&W as well. Was my first and entry to the AR15 world. They make a few different configurations these days and are well priced.

I dont think S&W is as bad a word as DPMS or Bushmaster around here either.

As for carbine length M4s, Colts can be had for or a little more than $1K. I helped a buddy pick up his first AR a few months back, I found him a DDXV for just shy of a $1K.
