So a gasblock locking nut almost like a castle nut? Eliminates dimpling of barrel or pinning of GB? Makes it easier to remove, I would assume. I wonder how it's fixed in place. OR is this an ADJUSTABLE GB, which the nut is used for adjusting of gas flow like the Noveske switchblock?

It appears to be the same gas block system as used on the SR15 Mod2. The barrel has a machined tab used to index the gas block and prevent rotation. The nut threads on in front of it and locks it in place.
