It ran flawlessly, 300 rounds of American Eagle ball.

How do you like the Spinta precision bits? I've got a barrel, bcg, and stripped upper going into a build this week.

Excellent. Now at around 3000 rounds with one failure to extract at around 2500 rounds. I'd say that is excellent. I do wish I got a shorter barrel, especially with the new "shouldering is legal crap." I might just get a gun smith to chop the barrel down legally.

Fit and finish is excellent as is their customer service. I accidentally lost the firing pin spring, they mailed one to me for free, same day.

JUST READ THAT. Looks like I'll be doing a short glock 9mm "pistol"

    How's the recoil in comparison to .223? I don't think I want anything under a 7" though.

Required parts for building a rifle

These are the most required parts :-

    1. AR-15 lower receiver.
    2. AR-15 upper receiver.
    3. Lower receiver parts kit.
    4. Upper receiver parts kit.
    5. Lower receiver extension (aka: the buffer tube).
    6. Buffer.
    7. Buffer spring.
    8. Barrel & gas block/gas system (a carbine length gas system would be typical for this build).
    9. Handguards (length will depend on what length gas system you chose on your barrel: carbine, mid-length, or rifle).
    10. Bolt carrier group (carrier, bolt, firing pin, cam, extractor, ejector and spring).
    11. Collapsible (or fixed, if you prefer) buttstock.
    12. At least one magazine (be sure to check your state laws for magazine capacity limits).

Uhh thanks? I've only built dozens of ARs, and this AR9 was completed months ago.

A carbine gas system is most common on a 9mm...more like no gas system

I did a build also on PSA upper and lower, I had one problem with a out off battery discharge, I sent it back to PSA and they took care of it, so far no issues at all.
