Christ, I hear so much hut-hut crap from guys that think their manliness pivots on their (extremely limited) knowledge of firearms I find it best not to say anything less I have a PTSD moment.

    Best part?

The dude was watching porn at seemingly full volume, and when me and my girlfriend walked in the first thing we heard was a female ''UUUH!'' on the TV in the back.

It was the most stereotypical shit ever. I loved it.
Thank you for that story, it made my month.

Tried to push onto me a damn PTR G3 clone for like $1800.
Please tell me you didn't jump on that? That dude would've lost his shirt had he given up a smokin' hot deal like that.

    Panzerr,

Don't you know all guys (in their heads) do 3 things very well:

    1. Drive fast

    2. Pleasure their woman

    3. And can shoot like Buffalo Bill!

Never been in there...drive by it a lot when heading into Denver or points north.

    Is it worth it?

I met a guy who has an FFL and visited his "shop" which is an add on to the front of his trailer. He invited me to visit his "range" out back which is a couple or three dump truck loads of dirt. I took a GPS waypoint on the place and noted the alignment of the "range". Later I looked it up on Google maps. Half a mile "down range" is Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park which will host 30,000 campers on a busy weekend. YIKES! He invites customers to try out firearms on the "range"! DOUBLE YIKES! I wouldn't shoot a squirt gun on that "range"!

Zoom out on the map, look for a little triangle campground symbol east from the bubble about half a mile, :

"All of my guns are loaded, all the time. There is nothing more useless than an unloaded gun."

I have heard this several times and it is so stupid I was unable to respond. I have finally thunk up a response! "Do you leave your engine running when you are not driving your car?" "No, why would I?" "Because there is nothing more useless than a car with the engine not running." It really doesn't pay to argue with stupid people.

Depending on the circumstances I don't necessarily disagree. It's the "nothing more useless than an uloaded gun" statement that I take exception to. For example, why would I keep a 458 loaded? Or a Bullseye gun? Or a benchrest gun? I like to fondle something every day and I like to fondle each gun at least a couple times a year. I don't want to have to unload before I fondle, then re-load it when I am done. Everything in my big safe is unloaded.

As a LEO I have run into a few true bad asses.

1st that comes to mind is a former Navy Seal who in Vietnam took a sniper shot against orders on Ho Ci Mihn at 600 yards. He purposely shot off his left ear just to show him that we could kill him whenever we wanted.

Friend had a boss who was a former "Spec Ops" guy in the Navy. He once shot down a helicopter by shoulder firing a Barret M82. They once laser guided a 2000 lb bomb onto some Taliban that were literally across the street from his team.

This same guy, he was 27 years old at the time, had a doctorate from MIT for micro-biology DNA something or another, had a Masters in computer tech, operated a coffee bean farm in Argentina, did the "Spec Ops" stuff for the Navy and then worked for the CIA as an overseas operative. He left it all to be an IT manager for a car dealership though his CIA boss would occasionaly pick him up for overnight ops. Thats why he would come to work wearing the same clothes from the day before and smelled like booze.

One thing Im always amazed by at work is people cant tell you the make, model or type of handgun that was used by a bad guy but they know what caliber it was.

dude. "He had a black 9mm"
    me. "what kind"
    dude. "I dont know"
    me. "revolver or auto"
    dude. "I dont know"
me. "did it have a spinny thing or does it take clips" (dumb it down for people)
dude. "i dont know man... it was a 9mm you know!"

No dude is going to get shot in the chest at 300 yards and look down and say "What is that, a 3 MOA group?"
