Rode the Pony....

Took my first outing with my new pony (6720 from Grant).

- She likes Wolf - this is good. Split cases and all.

- She is reliable even with 20 rounders (Magpul).

- She is light (carried around in the woods for a while looking for a fox plaguing my friends chickens). As I recall back in the day this becomes important after about 15 hours, and 20 Km's with a 70 LB ruck.

- works nicely with only an MOE handguard.

Very nice shooting gun. I like the sights (Matech rear). Only needed to adjust windage and that was very easy, but solid. Was generally "on" with 55 and 62 at 50 yards. The buffer spring seems stronger than my DD carbine, and I think this is good. I like the solidness of the Superstock - very nice lockup.

Ate up Wally Federal, Fed SS109 (you can feel the difference), PMC Bronze, and 62 grain Wolf nicely. The trigger is VERY good. Best OTB trigger I've experienced. Consistent accuracy - about the same as my DD and BCM carbines.

MOE on this is very good. The finger lip is a very good thing. But, I can see that with bare hands and 2 mag dumps, it can get uncomfortable at the sling swivel. But, it handles heat well otherwise.

Very impressive carbine.
