First Build **In Progress**

Well I am working on my first AR15 build. I thought it was about time since this election is looking........aweful. Here's what I have so far.

DPMS Complete Lower
CMT / STAG Upper
CMT Bolt Assembly
ERGO grip w/ Palm Shelf
Badger Ordnance Tactical Latch
LaRue 12" Tactical Handguard
LaRue Low-profile gas block
MagPul PRS stock
Harris Bi-pod

Waiting on:
Douglas 18" Stainless Steel SPR barrel w/ 1:8 twist, m4 ramps and matched bolt from Compass Lake Engineering
Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15x40 Scope
Rifle length gas tube

And still looking for what ring mounts to get. I'm leaning towards the Burris AR-PEPR 1" extended mount

More pics to follow in the coming weeks!

Does your CMT/Stag upper have M4 feedramps? Most Stag rifles don't.

I know that CMT has the option to put the m4 ramps on the upper and I am pretty sure that I chose to. I'll have to look again. But from what I've read, it is ok to put a barrel with m4 ramps into an upper with standard. You just cannot put a barrel with standard ramps into an upper with m4 ramps.

You know, you danced with the devil on this endeavor and somehow managed to not get burned too badly. DPMS, CMT, Stag, are not synonymous with quality. Avoid them in the future. Fortunately, the parts you chose from them are pretty hard to screw up. The DPMS lower and Stag upper are almost certainly in spec and will work out fine. The barrel you chose is top of the line. Since it comes with a matched bolt, use it. Make sure the gas key on the bolt carrier is properly staked. The rifle isn't configured at all how I would do it, but it should stack rounds for you.

I recommend a Bobro mount. Have one on my burris mtac. Great mount locks up tight and easy function. Sadly both will be on EE soon...

I bought a BCM bolt a couple years ago, (not the BCG mind you, just a bolt), and it is stamped "CM" and "MP".
This bolt was manufactured by CMT.
