Bipod too high

I have a M1a in a Troy MCS with a 9-12 inch Bipod, I have found that 9 inches is to tall for shooting off the bench, but I understand that a 6-9 inch bipods are to short for shooting prone. Am I the only one with this problem? Is there a happy medium?

Although I've never used one, I'd think the Atlas bipod would be a happy medium.

Can you raise the target or shoot with a tall rear bag?

Using a taller rear bag doesent work becuase then I can't see through the scope cause its too high, unless I get a taller chair.
As for the target that depends on the range I go to, Ill ask them.
