Noveske/VLTOR-NSR/VIS
Since Noveske and VLTOR developed the new NRS rail together and Noveske has pulled all the Noveske VIS rifles from their website does anyone know when and any info on the Noveske VIS/NRS uppers?

I'm pretty sure it's "NSR" not "NRS".
The NSR rail has been available on full builds via Noveske distributors for over a month now and I think uppers now as well. Ranier Arms has the bare rail available as well. No word yet on an ETA for the KeyMod rail accessories though.

Reason: added link to Ranier rail page for ease of reference

I know, I am talking about a VIS on a Noveske with the NSR type rail sans picatinny.

Ah, gotcha. VIS is the monolithic rail type, yes?

Just to clarify for you,
VIS = Vltor Monolithic upper receiver and rail
MUR= Vltor upper receiver
Further, the MUR Noveske uses for the SWS rail is a slightly different Noveske only version of the MUR. It incorporates some rail alignment magic.

The NSR handguard uses the KeyMod accessory mounting slots.
Our VIS models will be changing over to the KeyMod VIS later this year. There will be some availability of the standard VIS through some of our dealers until everything is changed over to the KeyMod version.
KeyMod rail sections are at finishing and the QD mount is right behind them. Plastic for the NSR is still a little ways out.

And you just ruined my budget Todd. Gues my VIS light carbine is going back on the block. I will need a VIS3 Keymod LC with a BC 1.5 pinned brake. I'll take it though if it only comes as an Afghan . My Surefire brake is to blasty. If you take trades then we can work it out
Will you have a KeyMod handstop to go with it?

The plastic we are making is designed for our NSR only.
The rail sections, QD mount, etc will fit any KeyMod handguard.

A keymod version of the VIS? Now you've got my attention! That sounds awesome.

Please, please make the Keymod VIS light weight
Todd is your Keymod the same as AI's Keymod?
Oh and tell everyone at the office great job!

I don't know if or what Vltor has planned for plastic.
Our plastic fits directly into the KeyMod slots so it is a very low profile attachment, but the profile is designed for our NSR so it won't fit a handguard with a different shape.
I have not seen the details of the AI design but they made it separately from ours so they are not likely to interchange.

That is awesome. The fact the KeyMod will allow you to "snug" an accessory right up against the smooth rail is truly revolutionary.
PLEASE make a TD Stubby style VFG. Or a slightly larger-than-normal handstop. I know, with your planned rail pieces I can attach an existing VFG, but there will be a gap, some added weight, possibly less than ideal ergonomics/feel with ungloved hands, and will essentially bypass the whole point of the KeyMod logic.
