Differance's in M4-2000 mounts?

I've been told there are several differant locking mechanism's on the M4-2000
Im not sure what generation I have, my can is sitting at my dealer.I haven't even laid my eye's on it yet. Anyone know what the differances are?

The difference is the one you have has fine ratchet teeth and a lever to lock it on with a push button to allow it to be removed. The M4-1000 and 2006 or earlier M4-2000 way has a detent spring and 18 teeth and you just turn it to remove it.

Why not?

(Edit to add: Have you seen the specs on the 08 M4-2000? "Ha Ha!" - Neslon from the Simpsons)
