I'm also looking for reports on this product. Anyone?
Haven't they been out for about a year now?

Looks like they've added a new part sinse the "GSR-35 Black lightning" days. Im pretty sure thats the bracket that goes around the barrel and the spigot to keep the spigot from flexing upward.

Thanks. I usually hang around GlockTalk or THR. Also at ARfcom, but not real active there.

I tried an Ares kit last year and sold it off when the op-rod bent. That was basically strike three for the kit, the first two being that the roll pins use to secure the "spigot" onto the FSB fell out twice after firing a couple of magazines because they basically got squashed with the forces produced by the piston. That bracket that they added may or may not prevent this from occurring.
But FWIW, if you can't afford an LWRC upper or conversion, I'd recommend the PWS conversion over the Ares conversion. JM2CW.
CAVEAT: I have no experience with the PWS kit but I was considering it before I bought my LWRC upper.

Very doubtful. I would have to say it'll take more than that. I welded a solid fixture onto my front site base, that holds down on the spigot so it cant flex up and sits tight to the back of the spigot to take the load so the pins dont have to. It has been working great for awhile now. I made a custom buffer to get rid of the tilt also.
Get the ares kit and I'll do your custom work for you.

The kit is not the POF system, it's the Ares G-35 kit marketed as a Bushmaster piston kit.
However, the Bushmaster piston gun (not the kit) is a re-labeled POF system.

The ARES was already designed to retrofit. The Complete Bushy Piston is a non retrofit design that was the Old POF. You are much better off with the new POF you ordered.

That depends on some things. Is the rail free float or not, how does the rail go together, etc... Best case it fits with no issue (which rarely to never happens). Second best case it fits with just a little mill work in the top of the rail (typical). Worst case it wont fit because there isnt enough room no matter how much material you take out, but I know next to nothing about MI rails. If your question is serious, I would need to see it.
I milled my troy rail around mine.
