The Po House -6920 Style

Fifty years ago, when I was a kid growing up in the South, I'd hear my parents and other adults, when money would get tight say, "we gonna wind up in the po house"!
Well, If I keep hanging out around here, that's exactly where I'm going!
I posted a couple of weeks ago that after being here for a couple of months, I found and bought an unfired, pre-ban 6601 to keep my Bushmasters company.
Was that enough? No way. Today I picked up my brand new 6920. Didn't get home with it till after 6:00 and took it to church with me. Don't laugh, you guys are the cause of this, and I thank you.
I think I'm really gonna like this thing! Oh yeah, 4000 rounds of new ammo this week ain't helping the" po house " thing either.
BTW, my 6920 came from Clyde Armory. I'm only 3 hours from them, but elected to have it shipped. Ordered it yesterday and got it today. Good service and friendly folks.

Enjoy it. I got bit by the gun bug again, first time in over 15 years. I have spent $ on guns, ammo, accessories, like crazy since Jan 1, but the end is in site.

My carbine came in yesterday and I am patiently going through the waiting period in my state. Larue Tactical just got a bunch of my money tonight.

I feel your pain. I just took apart my rock truck, sold everything and have so bought my daughter a Marlin 22, I picked up a Springfield Armory Operator 1911, with a X300 and a LMT 16" M-4 with alot of stuff on it. My wife is mad but I still put a bit of money in the bank. G&R is now a bad name around here, depending on who you ask.

I was just going through some of these forums, and it seems like a lot of retailers are out of stock of lowers, etc. I'd be curious to see the numbers, but it wouldn't surprise me if this year (or 2007) breaks a record for AR sales.

I bet it isn't.

Was it 5.56 or .223 and, if I may, where did you find 4,000 rounds in today's tight market?

I misled you somewhat safetyhit. It was actually 2000 rds of Wolf 7.62x39 from AIM and 1,920 rds of M2 ball from CMP for my hungry Garands. I've put 5.56 and .223 on hold till a "deal" comes along. Just hanging on to my stash for now.

Yeah, I got mine from the friendly service-minded folks at Clyde as well. Ordered it late on a Tuesday and picked it up here in Vermont on Thursday. We so po' that it's gonna be turnip greens and pokeweed salad for a while. Then some ammo!
