New M&p15X

Hi everyone, new guy here just found the forum about a week back.
I wanted to post my setup and ask a few questions on upgrades.

Current Specs:
M&P15X
EOtech 511
Surefire M951
Just Ordered a Specter SOP 3 point sling and a Tan Rail grip.

My next big purchases are going to be 10 or so Coyote Tan Pmags, Better CT Buttstock and CT Rail Guards.

Any info on upgrades and/or stuff about this model would be greatly appreciated.

Looks good! And Welcome! Enjoy that new rifle.

As a Spectre sling owner (actually mines from when they were CQB Solutions) they have GREAT customer service! That being said I liked my 3 point sling til I actually had to use it. Cancel the order if you can or return it and get a Vickers 2 pt. WAY better sling, and more comfortable! And if you get the Victory model it's probably less expensive too. To each their own and to you yours, I just saying from one who has run the CST 3pt sling.

Already paid I don't mind so much, it's a good start I think I'll take it to the range a few times with it and see how I like it.

Thanks for the info I'll check out that Vickers.

[Edit]
Another question I have, what is a really good grip that is comfortable and khaki/Coyote Tan colored?

The MIAD seems to be the one of choice but another good option is the ERGO grip, that is what I am running and so far I love it. But I also have no experience with the MIAD yet to really make and educated and informative claim.

Looks good, a CTR should close it out.

Nice gun.

Like others have said, get a Vickers sling or the economy version, the Victory sling by Blue Force Gear. Please ditch the "self strangulation 3 point" sling. We call them the 48 point sling

S&W fixed the PMAG issue before the X was released, so it should be good to go.

PMags

Thanks for the info, do you know if the 15A has any problems with them??
I just put one on lay a way, it was $1059, but I had already bought a dozen of the PMags. When I asked the lady at Magpul, she said if I had trouble that S&W could do some kind of adaption to make them work. Sounded like she was reading an e-mail.

Thanks again!

I would agree. 2 point sling is the way to go.

Looks good so far.

If you call S&W they should be able to give you more information. The problem has been fixed, and they have reportedly been very helpful in rectifying any existing problem lowers.
