How to mount a Vickers sling--with Surefire M500 forend light

Hey guys,

I run a Surefire M500 on the front of my Ar. Since I can mount a ring on the back of the rail (since there isn't one) how would you mount a vickers sling?

Do you still have the factory front sight on it? If you do, just run a side sling adaptor. If the light is in the way, just flip the handguards around so it`s on the other side. I set up a couple lights like that for my friends team and it worked fine.

I would add a Daniels Dfense QD swivel adaptor to the back of the 9:00 rail, but you need to have the Vickers sling that has QD buttons.

It depends on how old your M500 is... If you have the older one without the navigation lights, I would suggest you use the USGI M203 side sling adapter; If you have the newer one with the navigation lights that wont work, and I would simply connect the front of the sling directly to the front sight base like a patrol sling.

I use a M500 on my work carbine and I currently run it in this configuration...
